Polychrome Jasper Rough from Madagascar - $17.00/lb
Polychrome, also called Royal Savannah or Desert jasper, was first found on the northwest coast of Madagascar in 2008 during a hunt for more Ocean jasper. The name means “painted, printed, or decorated in several colors”. It’s hard and takes a nice polish.
Jasper is an opaque, microcrystalline form of quartz. As with any microcrystalline quartz, it is hard and takes an excellent polish with cerium or tin oxide.
