Septarian Nodule Rough from Utah - $6.00/lb

Septarian Nodule rough consists of calcite (yellow) and aragonite (brown). The crystal formations occur within limestone concretions. This material is relatively soft with a Mohs hardness of 3 to 4 and is easy to carve. You commonly see Septarian Nodules carved into the shapes of buffalo and eggs.
