Aventurine Slabs from Canada
Aventurine is a silicon dioxide (quartz-based) gemstone that displays aventurescence. Aventurescent stones look like flecks of mica are shimmering inside the stone. Aventurine usually has mica inside that causes this unusual feature. Aventurine polishes well with tin and cerium oxide, as well as diamond.
