Owyhee Jasper Slabs from Malheur County, Oregon
Owyhee Picture Jasper slabs are popular for their depictions of mountain and desert scenery. The material comes from the Owyhee mountain area, situated on the Idaho-Oregon border. Jaspers are an opaque, microcrystalline form of quartz. As with any quartz of this kind, it is hard. It will take an excellent polish with cerium or tin oxide.
Ruler is in INCHES.
