Red Snakeskin Jasper Slabs from Australia

Red Snakeskin Jasper slabs have great red, black and white/pink contrasting lines, thus they create striking stones. It cuts and polishes similar to other microcrystalline quartz (agate, chalcedony, jasper, etc). Red Snakeskin Jasper polishes well with tin or cerium oxide and diamond.

Jasper is an opaque, microcrystalline form of quartz. As with any microcrystalline quartz, it is hard and takes an excellent polish with cerium or tin oxide.
