Maw Sit Sit Slabs from Burma (Myanmar)
Maw Sit Sit slabs only come from northern Burma (Myanmar). They are similar enough to Imperial Jade that it wasn’t until the early 1960’s that the great gemologist, Eduard Guebelin identified it as a separate species. This material cuts beautiful and valuable stones. Care must be taken when cutting to avoid splintering or fracturing. Maw Sit Sit takes a fine polish with diamond.
Ruler is in INCHES.
