Mookaite Slabs from Australia
Our Mookaite slabs are a cut material found in the Kennedy Ranges of Western Australia. People dig it from outcroppings near Mooka Creek, the area for which it is named. This material offers both bold and soft hues of color that range from red, burgundy, mustard (yellow), cream, white, brown, mauve, pink, and purple.
Mohs hardness is 6-7. It polishes well with diamond and tin oxide.
