Yttrium Fluorite (Yttrofluorite) Slabs from Mexico
Yttrium (Yttrofluorite) Slabs from Sonora Mexico are cut from a material related to Fluorite. In fact, trivalent yttrium takes the place of calcium found in the colorful and more common Calcium Fluorite. This material has a Mohs hardness of 4 to 5. These slabs have a light purple color and make fantstic cobochons.
